Ingredients

1 large loaf of Italian bread (or French bread)

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)

6 slices of crispy bacon, crumbled

1 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced green onions

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Carefully slice the top of the Italian bread loaf off, creating a lid. Hollow out the inside of the bread to make space for the filling, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edges. Set aside the removed bread for other uses (like breadcrumbs).

Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, diced green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Stuff the Bread: Spoon the chicken, bacon, and ranch mixture into the hollowed-out loaf. Pack it tightly and ensure an even distribution.

Cover and Bake: Place the lid back on top of the stuffed bread. Wrap the entire stuffed loaf in aluminum foil to keep it moist while baking.

Bake: Place the wrapped loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. If you want a crispy top, remove the foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Slice into pieces and serve warm, letting everyone dig in!
