2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup orzo pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Begin by bringing a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orzo and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

    While the orzo is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half of the dried Italian herbs.

      In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sauté for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest.

        In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

          Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and capture any flavorful bits. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

            Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Slowly add the grated Parmesan cheese and remaining Italian herbs. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

              Slice the cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet, along with the cooked orzo. Stir everything together to coat the pasta and chicken in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

                Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
