Ingredients
  

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 tablespoon olive oil

6 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat.

    Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and turns lightly golden, being careful not to let it burn.

      Reduce the heat to low and carefully pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously to combine.

        Add the salt, black pepper, and thyme, stirring to incorporate all the flavors. Let the mixture simmer for 3-5 minutes to thicken slightly.

          Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

            Add the lemon juice to brighten the flavor, mixing well.

              Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

                Remove the skillet from the heat. Serve immediately over pasta, grilled chicken, or steamed vegetables. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for added color and flavor.
