Ingredients

8 oz penne pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. About 2 minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked penne, broccoli, and sautéed chicken back into the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
