Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup spinach, fresh

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Then, add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Make the Sauce: To the browned beef, add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, cherry tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld, and the sauce slightly thicken.

Incorporate Spinach: Add the fresh spinach to the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted.

Combine: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing it gently to coat with the creamy beef sauce. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and toss again to combine.

Serve: Plate the creamy beef and bowtie pasta. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and additional Parmesan cheese.
