Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup spinach leaves (fresh or frozen)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook Pasta: Begin by cooking the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Ground Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a wooden spoon to break it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.

Add Cream and Broth: Once the beef is cooked, lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream and beef broth. Stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Add Cheese and Spinach: Gradually mix in the shredded mozzarella cheese and stir until melted and creamy. Then add the spinach leaves, stirring until they wilt (if using frozen, ensure it’s heated through).

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing well to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy beef mixture. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes as needed.

Serve: Plate the creamy beef and bowtie pasta, then garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Enjoy your delicious meal!
