Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

¾ cup milk

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

For the Crab Filling:

1 cup lump crab meat, picked over for shells

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Lemon Butter:

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Biscuit Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Add the cold butter cubes and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley. Gradually add the milk, mixing just until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.

Prepare the Crab Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the lump crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.

Assemble the Biscuits: Scoop a small amount of biscuit dough (about 2 tablespoons) and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful (about 1 tablespoon) of the crab filling in the center and fold the dough over to seal. Gently roll into a ball and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.

Bake the Biscuits: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Prepare the Lemon Butter: While the biscuits are baking, combine melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Mix well.

Serve: Once the biscuits are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the lemon butter while they are still warm.

Enjoy: Serve warm, and savor the delightful combination of cheesy, crab-filled goodness with a zesty lemon finish.
