Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup crab meat, cooked and shredded

2 green onions, finely sliced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 sticks mozzarella cheese (string cheese, cut in half)

1 cup flour

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups panko breadcrumbs

Oil for frying

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Take one piece of mozzarella cheese and wrap a generous amount of the crab mixture around it, ensuring it is fully encased. Repeat with all cheese sticks.

Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.

Roll each cheese stick in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, followed by coating in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat this process for all sticks.

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add a few mozzarella sticks, frying them until golden brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes). Do not overcrowd the pan.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried sticks onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Allow to cool slightly before serving with your choice of dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour sauce or spicy mayo.

                Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Arrange the mozzarella sticks on a platter with small dipping bowls of sauce on the side, garnished with a sprinkle of chopped green onions for added color and freshness.
