Ingredients

2 pounds of crab legs (snow or king crab)

4 quarts of water

1/4 cup old bay seasoning

2 lemons, halved

4 cloves garlic, smashed

1 large onion, quartered

6 small red potatoes, halved

4 ears of corn, cut into thirds

1/2 cup of salt (for boiling)

3 tablespoons of butter (for serving)

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Water: In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add the salt, old bay seasoning, halved lemons, smashed garlic, and quartered onion. Stir to combine.

Cook the Potatoes: Add the halved red potatoes to the pot. Cover and boil for about 10-12 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

Add the Corn: Once the potatoes are tender, add the corn pieces to the pot. Continue to boil for another 5 minutes.

Add the Crab Legs: Carefully add the crab legs to the pot. They may need to be bent to fit. Cover and boil for 5-7 minutes, or until the crab is heated through.

Prepare for Serving: Once fully cooked, remove the pot from heat. Using tongs, carefully transfer the crab legs, potatoes, and corn to a large serving platter or directly onto a parchment-lined table for a festive touch.

Make It Saucy: In a small bowl, melt the butter and add cayenne pepper if desired for a spicy kick. Mix well.

Garnish & Serve: Drizzle the melted butter over the served crab boil and garnish with fresh parsley. Squeeze additional lemon juice over everything for brightness, and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
