1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chives.

Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard to the mixture, stirring until well incorporated.

Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the butter.

Add the lemon zest and juice, blending them into the butter for a fresh kick of flavor.

Scoop the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Roll it up tightly, forming a log shape, and twist the ends to seal.

Refrigerate the cowboy butter log for at least 1 hour until firm or up to a week for maximum flavor integration.

To serve, slice the chilled cowboy butter into rounds and place it on grilled meats, crusty breads, or steamed vegetables.
