4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted

¼ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup old-fashioned oats

¼ cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

      In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, vanilla extract, oats, and chopped nuts. Make sure everything is well combined.

        Place the peach halves in a baking dish, cut side up. Spoon a little melted butter over each peach half.

          Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the peaches.
