1 can (8 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough

2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 cup caramel sauce (optional for drizzling)

1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and separate the rolls. Flatten each roll slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin to create a disc.

      Make the Apple Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss until the apples are evenly coated and set aside.

        Form the Cups: Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray. Take each flattened cinnamon roll and press it into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup to form a cup.

          Fill the Cups: Spoon the apple filling evenly into each cinnamon roll cup, pressing down gently to ensure they’re filled well.
