1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it's large enough to hold the Saltine crackers in a single layer.

    Arrange the saltine crackers on the lined baking sheet in a single layer, covering the entire surface.

      In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsalted butter and brown sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil and bubbles for about 3 minutes.

        Carefully pour the hot butter and sugar mixture evenly over the saltine crackers, using a spatula to spread it gently and ensure all crackers are covered.

          Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, until the bubbly mixture becomes golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning!

            Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the bubbling caramel. Wait a minute for the chocolate to melt, then use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly across the top.
