Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir until the mixture is melted and smooth, about 5-8 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt. Mix well until incorporated.

If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and mini marshmallows for additional texture and flavor.

Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, or refrigerate for 1 hour until set.

Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares.

Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
