2 large navel oranges

1 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional for a smoother chocolate)

Sea salt (to sprinkle on top, optional)

Start by washing the oranges thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

    Using a sharp knife, slice each orange into 1/4-inch thick rounds, removing any seeds you encounter as you go. Keep the skin on for extra flavor and nutrition.

      Place the orange slices on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. Allow them to sit for about 10-15 minutes.

        In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, combine the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. If using a double boiler, stir occasionally until melted.

          Once the chocolate is melted, hold each orange slice by its edge and dip it halfway into the chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.

            Place the chocolate-coated orange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.
