Ingredients

1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar (or lemon juice for a twist)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped parsley and cilantro.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the herbs and mix well.

Pour in the olive oil and red wine vinegar, stirring until everything is blended. If using lemon juice, add that instead.

Season with salt and black pepper, then add the lemon zest for an extra zing.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary—add more salt or red pepper flakes for extra kick!

Let the sauce sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Serve it alongside grilled steaks, chicken, or roasted vegetables, or use it as a marinade for your favorite meats.
