Ingredients

4 large russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked chili (beef, turkey, or vegetarian)

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into fries of even size for uniform cooking.

Season the Fries: In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.

Bake the Fries: Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Heat the Chili: While the fries are baking, heat your cooked chili in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

Assemble the Dish: Once the fries are crispy, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the hot fries. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve It Up: Remove the fries from the oven, then generously spoon the warmed chili over the cheesy fries. Add a dollop of sour cream on top, and garnish with sliced jalapeños and chopped cilantro.

Enjoy: Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your indulgent and flavorful Chili Cheese Fries!
