Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup bell pepper, finely diced (any color)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Optional: hot sauce for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese.

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced bell pepper, and parsley to the mixture.

Season with cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the beaten egg into the mixture and use your hands to combine everything until well-mixed and a sticky dough forms.

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, carefully place half of the patties in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the cooked patties and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Repeat with the remaining patties.

Serve warm with optional hot sauce drizzled over the top for an extra kick.
