Ingredients

2 cups water

2 Earl Grey tea bags

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1/2 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes (optional)

Fresh cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes for a rich flavor.

In a separate small pot, heat the milk gently over medium heat until warm (but not boiling). Add the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract, stirring until fully combined.

If using fresh cherries, blend them in a blender until smooth to create a cherry puree. If using frozen cherries, you can either blend them similarly or simply thaw them and mash lightly with a fork.

Strain the Earl Grey tea into a large bowl or pitcher, discarding the tea bags.

Combine the tea with the cherry puree, mixing thoroughly.

If desired, add ice cubes to a glass and pour the tea-cherry mixture over it. Top with the warm milk mixture, stirring gently to combine the flavors.

Adjust sweetness if necessary, and garnish with fresh cherries on top for an elegant touch.
