1 large baguette, sliced in half lengthwise

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

      Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette.

        In another bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses. Sprinkle this cheesy mixture generously over the buttered halves of the baguette.

          Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

            Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

              Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Then, slice into individual portions.

                Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
