8 oz (about 225g) penne pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or your favorite topping)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Sauce: In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

      Season It Up: Stir in the dried oregano and dried basil, mixing well with the garlic and butter.

        Combine with Marinara: Pour in the marinara sauce, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

          Mix in the Pasta: Add the drained penne pasta to the pot and mix well, ensuring the pasta is thoroughly coated with the sauce.

            Add Cheese and Toppings: Remove the pot from heat, then stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Add mini pepperoni slices and mix well.

              Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

                Final Touch: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                  Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
