Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tsp lemon juice

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Roll out one can of crescent roll dough and layer it evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing seams together to create a solid crust.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

Add the vanilla extract, lemon juice, and sour cream to the cream cheese mixture and blend well.

Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are fully mixed in before adding the next. Blend until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.

Pour the cream cheese filling over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Roll out the second can of crescent rolls and lay the dough over the filling, pinching the seams to seal. Brush with a little melted butter if desired for extra richness.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

Allow the casserole to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Garnish with fresh berries if using, and cut into squares before serving.
