To create the ultimate Cheeseburger Fries, the beef is a crucial component that requires careful attention to detail. Start by selecting high-quality ground beef, ideally with a fat content of 80/20. This ratio provides enough fat to keep the beef juicy and flavorful without being overly greasy.

Ingredients

4 large russet potatoes, sliced into thick fries

1 lb ground beef

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup pickles, diced

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp mustard

Fresh lettuce, shredded (optional)

Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Fries: In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well coated. Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Fries: Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Cook the Beef: While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease and stir in garlic and onion powder for added flavor.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard until well combined. Set aside.

Assemble the Cheeseburger Fries: Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven. Sprinkle the cooked ground beef evenly over the fries, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese. Return to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Top It Off: Once the cheese is melted, remove the tray from the oven and top the fries with diced pickles, diced tomatoes, red onion, and fresh lettuce if using. Drizzle the sauce over the top.

Serve: Serve hot, garnished with additional pickles or a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your Cheeseburger Fries!
