The key ingredients for a caramel apple pie milkshake are simple yet flavorful. You will need vanilla ice cream, which gives the shake its creamy base. I use whole milk to make it smooth and easy to drink. The apple adds a fresh crunch. I prefer Granny Smith apples for their tartness.

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup pie crust crumbs, crushed (can use store-bought or homemade)

Whipped cream for topping

Additional caramel sauce for drizzling

Fresh apple slices for garnish

Instructions

In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, diced Granny Smith apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend on medium until smooth and creamy.

Add 1/2 cup of the caramel sauce and pulse until just combined, leaving some bits of apple visible for texture.

Carefully fold in the crushed pie crust crumbs, reserving a tablespoon for garnish.

Drizzle some caramel sauce inside your serving glasses for a decorative effect.

Pour the milkshake mixture evenly into the prepared glasses.

Top each milkshake generously with whipped cream.

Drizzle remaining caramel sauce over the whipped cream and sprinkle the reserved pie crust crumbs on top.

Garnish with fresh apple slices on the rim of the glass.
