1 box of cake mix (any flavor)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, sprinkles, or cinnamon sugar

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well incorporated, but do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

      Transfer the batter into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off for easier pouring.

        Carefully pipe the batter into each donut mold, filling them about 2/3 full to allow room for rising.

          Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean.

            Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before removing them. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

              Once cooled, you can top the donuts with your choice of toppings. For a simple glaze, mix powdered sugar with a bit of water until smooth, then drizzle over the donuts. Alternatively, you can toss them in cinnamon sugar or dip in melted chocolate.

                Let any glaze or topping set for a few minutes before serving.
