Ingredients

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup buffalo sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

20 wonton wrappers

1 egg, beaten (for sealing)

Oil for frying (or a cooking spray for baking)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well until all items are fully incorporated.

Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the buffalo chicken filling in the center of the wrapper.

Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper with the beaten egg to help seal it. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle shape, pressing out any air as you seal it. Ensure the edges are tightly pressed to avoid leaks.

Repeat the filling and folding process until all the filling is used.

Frying Option: Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully drop in a few wontons at a time, frying them for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Baking Option: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the sealed wontons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray with cooking spray and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Serve the wontons warm, drizzled with extra buffalo sauce and sprinkled with additional green onions for garnish.
