Ingredients
  

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 lb breakfast sausage (roll or links, casings removed)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and let it cool slightly.

      In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

        Roll out the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.

          Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the larger end of each triangle.

            Roll each triangle from the larger end to the point, enclosing the filling as you go. Place the rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet.

              In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush the mixture over each crescent roll to give it a golden finish.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and flaky.

                  Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
