Ingredients
  

8 oz fusilli or rotini pasta

6 slices of thick-cut bacon

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped

½ cup red onion, finely diced

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool. Set aside in a large mixing bowl.

    Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble into large pieces.

      Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.

        Combine Ingredients: In the bowl with the cooled pasta, add the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped romaine lettuce, diced red onion, and crumbled bacon. Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and gently toss to combine, ensuring that everything is coated well.

          Chill and Serve: Cover the pasta salad with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Before serving, give the salad a good stir and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
