Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon blackening seasoning

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Pasta: Cook the fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water. Set aside.

Cook the Steak: While the pasta cooks, rub the ribeye steaks with blackening seasoning on both sides. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once hot, sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they have a nice char and are cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet, cover with foil, and let rest.

Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add another 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust the thickness with reserved pasta water as needed. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Everything: Add the drained fettuccine and cooked shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is fully coated. Slice the rested steak into strips.

Serve: Plate the creamy fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and top with slices of blackened steak. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh burst of flavor.
