Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

¾ cup milk

1 pound pork sausage, crumbled

¼ cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)

2 cups milk (for gravy)

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Make the Biscuit Base: In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Bind the Dough: Pour in ¾ cup of milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and roll or pat into a 12-inch round.

Pre-Bake the Dough: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the biscuit dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 10 minutes, just until it starts to set (it will bake more later).

Prepare the Sausage Gravy: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and cooked through. Remove half of the grease from the skillet, then sprinkle in ¼ cup flour. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes to form a roux.

Add the Milk for Gravy: Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Add black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Pizza: Once the biscuit crust is ready, pour the sausage gravy evenly over the crust. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and then make small wells in the gravy for the eggs.

Add the Eggs: Crack the two eggs into the wells you've created in the gravy. Carefully place the pizza back into the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Final Touch: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley before slicing.
