Ingredients

1 large French bread loaf

1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), thinly sliced

2 cups provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned; remove from skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are soft and caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Return the steak to the skillet and toss to combine. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and set aside.

Prepare the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise, then place it on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Mix the Cheese Spread: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and half of the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese. Mix well until creamy.

Assemble the Cheesy Bread: Spread the cheese mixture evenly onto both halves of the bread. Top with the steak and vegetable mixture, then sprinkle the remaining shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese over the top.

Bake: Place the assembled bread in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before slicing into pieces for serving.
