Ingredients

2 cans of crescent roll dough

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/3 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) for garnish

Optional: whipped cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay the triangles flat in the baking dish, covering the bottom. Seal any seams by pressing them together.

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar, and mix until fully combined.

Add the vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), sour cream, lemon zest, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is creamy and well combined.

Pour the cheesecake filling evenly over the crescent roll base in the baking dish.

Open the second can of crescent roll dough and place the triangles on top of the cheesecake filling, using similar pressing techniques to seal seams and create an even layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.

Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.

Slice into squares, garnish with fresh berries, and serve with whipped cream if desired.
