Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 strips of bacon, cut in half

1/4 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F or 175°C).

Prepare the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are fully coated in the seasoning.

Wrap the Shrimp: Take one half strip of bacon and wrap it around each shrimp. Secure the bacon with a soaked bamboo skewer. Repeat with all the shrimp.

Grill the Shrimp: Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and the bacon is crispy.

Add BBQ Sauce: Brush the glazed barbecue sauce on the shrimp during the last minute of grilling on each side, allowing it to caramelize slightly.

Serve: Once cooked, remove from the grill. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Enjoy! Serve your BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp as an appetizer or main dish with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
