The main shrimp toast ingredients are fresh shrimp, bread, and some tasty seasonings. For the shrimp, I recommend using wild-caught shrimp. They have better flavor and texture. Always peel and devein them before cooking.

Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 slices of crusty bread (such as ciabatta or baguette)

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1 tablespoon Sriracha for a spicy kick

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a food processor, add the shrimp, mayonnaise, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. If you're using Sriracha for spice, add it here as well.

Pulse the mixture until it’s well combined but still retains some texture (don’t puree it completely).

Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet.

Spoon the shrimp mixture generously onto each slice of bread, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp topping is cooked through and slightly golden on top.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a minute.

Garnish with chopped green onions, cilantro, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the shrimp toast on a wooden board or a colorful platter, and drizzle with extra Sriracha or a splash of lime juice for an extra zing. Enjoy warm! 🍽️
