Ingredients

2 pounds of flank steak or skirt steak

¼ cup soy sauce

â…“ cup olive oil

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried oregano until well combined.

Place the steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Discard the excess marinade.

Place the marinated steak on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your preferred level of doneness.

Remove the steak from the oven and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
