Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 6 strips)

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chopped chives. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Roll out Dough: Open the package of crescent dough and unroll it into a flat sheet. Pinch together the seams to create a solid surface.

Cut the Dough: Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into squares (about 3x3 inches).

Stuff the Bombs: Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese and bacon filling in the center of each square. Fold up the corners of the dough to encase the filling, pinching the edges to seal it properly.

Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the tops of each cheese bomb with the egg wash to give them a golden color when baked.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the stuffed cheese bombs on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are evenly spaced.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed warm, as is or with a side of ranch dressing or hot sauce for dipping.
