Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 slices of crispy bacon, crumbled

2-3 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should have around 20-25 balls.

Once all the cheese balls are formed, freeze them for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Set up a breading station by placing the flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.

Remove the cheese balls from the freezer. Roll each ball in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. Make sure each ball is well coated for extra crunch.

Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep fryer or a large pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the cheese balls in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until they become golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through cooking for even browning.

Once cooked, remove the cheese balls and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy sriracha mayo.
