Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Churro Dough:

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally until the butter is melted.

      Mix in Flour:

Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly stir in the flour, mixing until a dough forms. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.

          Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Once the dough has cooled slightly, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky.

              Preheat Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a piping bag with a star-shaped tip and fill it with the churro dough.

                  Pipe the Churros:

On a sheet of parchment paper, pipe churro shapes (about 4-6 inches long) and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Leave some space between them as they will puff up while cooking.

                      Cook the Churros:

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Carefully transfer the churros to the basket (you might need to do this in batches). Spray the churros lightly with cooking spray on top. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.

                          Dust with Sugar (optional):

Once cooked, remove the churros from the air fryer and dust them with powdered sugar, if desired.

                              Serve:

Serve warm with chocolate sauce, caramel, or your favorite dipping sauce.
