Zesty Lemon Vanilla Iced Tea Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 bags black tea
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 cups fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 Prise lemon slices (for garnish)
- 1 Prise fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- 1 Prise ice cubes
Instructions
- Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a pot or kettle. Once it has reached a rolling boil, remove it from heat.
- Add the black tea bags to the boiling water and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
- While the tea is steeping, prepare a pitcher by mixing the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and pour the warm tea into the pitcher with the lemon and sugar mixture.
- Add the teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Pour in the cold water to dilute the tea to your desired strength. Taste and adjust sweetness with more sugar if necessary.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until it is chilled (about 1 hour).
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
💡 Chef's Notes
