Thai Chili Tuna Steaks with Spicy Noodles Delight
Ingredients
- 2 oz tuna steaks
- 2 tablespoons Thai chili paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 200 g rice noodles
- 1 piece bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 piece carrot, julienned
- 3 pieces green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 Prise salt (to taste)
- 1 Prise pepper (to taste)
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro for garnish
- 1 piece lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Thai chili paste, soy sauce, lime juice, and honey. This will be your marinade for the tuna steaks.
- Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are fully coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the tuna is marinating, cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Stir in the cooked rice noodles, peanut butter, and chopped green onions. Toss everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a separate pan or grill, sear the marinated tuna steaks over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them more cooked.
- Remove the tuna from the heat and let it rest for a minute before slicing it into thick strips.
- Plate the spicy noodles first, then place the sliced tuna steaks on top. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side. Enjoy your vibrant Thai-inspired meal!
