Sweet and Smoky Pulled Pork Delight Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 lbs pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 Prise Burger buns or sliders (for serving)
- 1 Prise Coleslaw (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the meat.
- In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Generously rub the spice mixture on all sides of the pork shoulder, ensuring it's well coated for maximum flavor.
- Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. Add chicken broth around the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- In the last hour of cooking, combine BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar in a separate bowl. Set aside.
- Once the cooking time is complete, remove the pork shoulder from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the meat.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the reserved BBQ sauce, stirring well to coat.
- Serve the pulled pork on soft burger buns or sliders. Top with coleslaw if desired for an extra crunch.
