Savory Beef & Shell Pasta Bliss Quick and Tasty Meal
Ingredients
- 2 cups large shell pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 oz diced tomatoes with herbs
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Pepper
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the shell pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juice), tomato paste, oregano, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer, reducing heat to medium-low. Let it cook for about 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Add the fresh spinach to the beef-tomato mixture and let it wilt for about 2 minutes. Gently fold in the cooked shell pasta until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir until just melted and evenly mixed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
