Peanut Butter Cup Cookies Delightful and Easy Treat
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 12 pieces mini chocolate peanut butter cups, halved
- 1 Prise sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt to the bowl; mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out dough and roll it into balls. Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them to allow for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Once out of the oven, immediately press one half of a chocolate peanut butter cup into the center of each cookie. Return the cookies to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to soften the chocolate.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie for an extra flavor boost.
