Paula Deen’s Irresistible Sausage Balls Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound spicy breakfast sausage
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1.5 cups Bisquick mix
- 0.25 cups milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 cups chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the spicy breakfast sausage, grated sharp cheddar cheese, and Bisquick mix. Mix well using your hands or a sturdy spoon until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
- Add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the mixture. Continue to mix until everything is well combined. The dough should be slightly sticky.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process, leaving some space between each ball as they will expand while baking.
- Once the baking sheet is full, place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy!
