Parmesan Garlic Cheeseburger Lasagna with Bacon: A Comfort Food Delight
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 noodles lasagna, cooked according to package directions
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 Prise salt (optional)
- 1 Prise pepper (optional)
- 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain the excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and return the bacon to the pan. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with 0.5 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and a third of the meat sauce. Repeat this layer one more time.
- Add another layer of 4 lasagna noodles on top. Spread the remaining meat sauce over the noodles and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with foil (to prevent sticking, spray the foil with cooking spray). Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
