Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 lb ground pork
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 pieces green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 piece egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 Prise salt to taste
  • 1 Prise pepper to taste
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  3. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the meat mixture. Mix until just combined; do not overmix to keep meatballs tender.
  4. Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly browned.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime juice, sesame oil, and honey. Stir until smooth and well combined. Adjust Sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve them on a platter with the spicy mayo dip on the side.

💡 Chef's Notes

Adjust Sriracha in the dip for desired spiciness.
