Indulge in Decadence: The Ultimate Crumbl Chocolate Cake Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
- 0.5 cup chocolate frosting (for topping, optional)
- 1 Prise sprinkles or crushed nuts (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. They will continue to firm up as they cool.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Once cooled, drizzle or spread a small amount of chocolate frosting on each cookie and top with sprinkles or crushed nuts for extra flair.
