Ingredients

  • 2 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water (not boiling)
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes
  • 1 Prise whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 Prise sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder and hot water together until it forms a smooth paste. Ensure there are no lumps.
  2. In a separate glass, combine the brown sugar with the milk. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Fill a glass or tall cup with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the sweetened milk over the ice.
  5. Gently pour the matcha mixture on top of the milk. If you like, create a swirl by stirring lightly (but not too much, so the layers remain somewhat distinct).
  6. If desired, top with whipped cream and a light sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor.
  7. Serve with a straw, and enjoy the refreshing blend of flavors!
