Ingredients

  • 4 pieces tilapia fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 0.25 cup Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pieces fresh lemon wedges (for serving)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard and honey until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.
  4. Place the tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Using a brush or spoon, spread a generous amount of the honey mustard mixture over each fillet.
  5. Press the breadcrumb mixture onto the honey mustard-coated fillets, ensuring they are well covered for maximum crunch.
  6. Bake the tilapia in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and the crust is golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove the tilapia from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and garnish with chopped parsley for added flavor and presentation.
