Honey Butter Skillet Corn Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh corn kernels
- 0.5 cups unsalted butter
- 0.25 cups honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 Prise zest of 1 lime (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by removing the corn kernels from the cobs. To do this, stand each ear of corn upright on a cutting board and slice downward to release the kernels. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbly and foamy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the corn kernels into the skillet, stirring well to coat them in the melted butter.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the corn cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the kernels are tender and have begun to caramelize slightly.
- Pour the honey over the cooked corn, then sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the honey to infuse the corn.
- If desired, add lime zest to the mixture for a zesty brightness and stir to incorporate.
- Once done, remove the skillet from heat and transfer the corn to a serving dish.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
